We're raising 2 of the 12. I've yet to meet Kayla. She lives with her mother in California. Kayleigh was born too soon and, so, never drew a breath. We didn't even know she was coming until we learned she wasn't staying. Grant was stillborn early this morning. He was supposed to get here close to my birthday. I'm glad he shares this day with Emily who is officially 5 years old today. Life is sweet and bittersweet at the same time.

No matter what kind of family you have, hold them close. There are no guarantees that you'll be able to have them with you forever.
